The Family PATH program does not provide security deposit assistance; this is an applicant responsibility and needed prior to move in. Advocate services are provided for all PATH participants. The most important role of the PATH Advocate is to guide participants as they identify barriers to self-sufficiency and set goals to work toward and accomplish. More recently, programs offer equine-assited leadership, services in human growth and development to serve wide-ranging audiences for such educational purposes as leadership training, team building and other human capacity enhancement skills for the workplace and for daily use.

Across the United States, approximately local organizations offer an array of essential services and supports that may not be supported by mainstream mental health programs.

Some PATH providers offer all of these services, while others focus on providing one or two of them.
