For your important files to get backup to Onedrive you need to put them in one of these locations. Once you put all your important files on any of these locations, Onedrive performs the synchronization to the cloud.

In reply to Garry 's post on January 12, Garry There is no way to stop OneDrive from taking all of the files in these folders so you will need to turn off the backup completely.
